The BMW X5M Competition on the F95 chassis is BMW M GmbH's flagship M-SUV — the most powerful production X5 ever, sharing its body shell with the standard G05 X5 but with a comprehensively M-specific drivetrain, suspension and aero. The 2023 LCI mid-cycle update brought a new vertically-stacked Iconic Glow illuminated kidney grille, a restyled LED-laser headlight signature, BMW Curved Display with iDrive 8.5, and — most significantly — replaced the previous-generation S63 V8 with the all-new S68 4.4 L biturbo V8 with 48 V mild-hybrid integration, producing 625 PS / 750 Nm. Power runs through the 8-speed M Steptronic with shorter ratios and an M-specific wet-clutch torque converter, and a permanent M xDrive AWD system with rear-bias 2WD mode and an Active M Differential at the rear. Active Roll Stabilisation, M-specific adaptive dampers and four-corner air-suspension calibration are standard.

What is new in the LCI Performance programme

The Performance LCI release is calibrated to the new vertically-stacked Iconic Glow kidney grille, the LCI's revised front-bumper intake geometry, and the LCI's new exhaust-tip arrangement on the rear bumper. Where the pre-LCI X5M Performance kit was tuned around the S63 V8's heat-management package, the LCI revision adds expanded front-fascia cooling apertures sized for the S68's 48 V mild-hybrid heat load.

Donor compatibility

Engineered around the 2023+ LCI X5M Competition F95. The bumper and skirt schedule is geometrically tied to the M-flare body — it is not cross-compatible with the standard G05 X5 (M-only). Pre-LCI 2020–2022 F95 X5M donors are served by the original Performance schedule on the S63 V8 platform; cross-fitment is supported VIN-by-VIN through our Custom Body Kit Design & Manufacturing Service.

Will the Performance kit fit a standard G05 X5 M60i / xDrive40i?
No — the Performance schedule is dimensioned to the F95 X5M's M-flare body. Standard G05 X5 owners are served by a separate Larte programme on the non-M body lines.

Does the kit interfere with M xDrive's rear-bias 2WD mode or Active M Differential?
No — Larte components are body-only and mechanically independent of the driveline. M xDrive logic, 2WD mode and Active M Differential are entirely preserved.

Is the front bumper compatible with the LCI's revised radar and front-camera array?
Yes — radar and camera-aperture cut-outs are pre-machined to factory specification; revalidation is included where local regulation requires it after bumper replacement.
