The Cayenne Coupe GTX is a two-tonne performance SUV that Porsche expects to corner like a car half its weight. The engineering underneath delivers on that promise, but the visual side of the equation depends heavily on what sits inside the wheel arches. Stock Cayenne wheels, even the optional 22-inch items, use conservative spoke designs that make the car look like an appliance. Replace them with a set of bespoke forged wheels, and the Cayenne's proportions shift from competent to commanding. The car looks lower, wider, and more planted — without changing a single suspension component.
The Bete Noire Ver1.2 uses a wide-spoke concave design that fills the Cayenne's generous wheel arches with authority. The spokes are broad and flat, creating large negative spaces between them that let the brake hardware show through. On a car with Porsche's yellow PCCB calipers, the effect is striking. The concavity is deep enough to give the wheel a sculpted, three-dimensional quality without looking theatrical. In gloss black, the Ver1.2 adds aggression. In brushed aluminium, it takes on a more technical, Porsche-appropriate character. Pair it with the AI custom bumper for the Cayenne for a fully coordinated look.
| Bolt pattern | 5x130 |
| Recommended diameter | 21" or 22" |
| Width range | 9.5J front / 11J rear |
| Offset range | ET40 — ET55 |
| Centre bore | 71.6 mm |
| Material | 6061-T6 forged aluminium |
| Weight | ~30% lighter than equivalent cast wheel |
The weight saving on an SUV is especially significant. At 22 inches, a cast OEM wheel can weigh over 15 kg. A forged replacement at the same diameter comes in well under 12 kg. Four corners, potentially 12-16 kg of unsprung mass removed — the air suspension and PDCC system respond to every input more precisely as a result. For more detail on why forged wheels outperform cast alternatives, see our technical guide.
The Ver1.2 was created through Hodoor's AI wheel design programme. The algorithm generates thousands of unique concepts daily, each one validated for structural integrity, brake clearance, and CNC manufacturability. Design exploration is free — you pay only when a wheel moves into production.
If the AI options do not match your vision, our in-house designer develops concepts from scratch. Either route produces the same forged monoblock, machined from a single billet and delivered in four to eight weeks.
Will these clear the PCCB carbon-ceramic brakes on the Cayenne GTX?
Yes. Both 21-inch and 22-inch versions of the Ver1.2 provide sufficient clearance for the PCCB system, including the 440 mm front rotors. Clearance is verified during the design validation stage.
Can I fit these to a standard Cayenne or Cayenne S, not just the GTX?
Yes. All current-generation Cayenne models (E3/E4) share the 5x130 bolt pattern and 71.6 mm centre bore. Offset and width may differ slightly depending on body style (standard vs Coupe) — contact us to confirm.
How do forged wheels cope with the Cayenne's weight?
The 6061-T6 forging process aligns the aluminium's grain structure, producing a wheel that is both lighter and stronger than a cast equivalent. Forged wheels handle heavy loads better because the material has higher fatigue resistance. See our wheel sizing guide for more detail.
